Jo and Cheryl at commencement

I took this photo of Cheryl and Jo during our graduation ceremony. It was quite a challenge to get Cheryl to go. I can't remember what actually convinced her, but it was good to see her there. Commencement was a great time, nice to see lots of friendly faces.

Work was dull as always. Lunch however was quite fun. Steph, Jas, and I (Steph and Jas are the two other coop students) continued playing 7-up which was a simple card game Steph had taught us. We played again today and it still hasn't lost its effect. We all had won at least one round which was nice. Steph won the first two rounds and was rubbing it in a little. After a few games of 7-up steph taught me some strange Russian game which was also very fun. I have no idea how to spell it so I will try and look for it another day.

Work is getting pretty fun because everyone is pretty laid back. Towards the end of the day I was just reading The watchmen and looking up slope fields and they didn't even care. My boss was even asking me questions about the crap I was looking at.

The watchmen is quite an interesting comic, I am glad kings lent it to me. I understand, to a small degree, what is going on however I am certain there are tons of small things I have probably missed. I still have a good 2/3's of the book to read though. After I finish that I shall move onto spiderman.

Now its time for 2 episodes of desperate housewives. Its not that bad of a show, but still no lost. L O S T!

Waiting for a pizza

This is quite an old photo I took of kings. I believe this was towards the end of our grade 12 year. It was me justin and kings at pizza pizza that day I think. I need to take more photos.

Today was pretty much a normal work day. Walked around a lot, helped people with simple problems, sat around and read up on stuff. I seem to be doing more and more msn chatting at work with each passing day. Its pretty good, sometimes I wonder why the hell they pay me. Wednesday though I go back to BCE place which is crazy boring. If I ever get fired from this job its because I would be sleeping at BCE place. Kings lent me the watchmen though so I will have something good to read now which will help greatly.

Lunch I played this card game one of the coop students, Stephanie, taught us. Its called 7-up. Its a very simple game but surprisingly fun. Perhaps I shall make a java game that will play it. I will go into the rules of the game another day, however its a really fun game.

The rest of the day progressed pretty slowly. Now that I am back at home I can catch up on anime and desperate housewives!

Willie relaxing

I took this photo of Willie on a trip to yorkdale I believe. Not 100% sure, the photo is quite old.

Yesterday was a pretty avg saturday. It started off with me, vanessa, and simon going to Pacific mall to get simon a phone. We walked around for quite some time looking at all sorts of various phones. After a good few hours simon got a Panasonic VS3 which looked very nice. I bought 3 boxes of hello pandas and was also very happy.

After pmall we came back to my place and played some Dirge of Cerberus which wasn't as impressive as we would have hoped. Slowly a few more people came and we talked for a bit. After a fair bit of talking, simon justin nelson kevin and I went to get some dinner

We went to pizza hut and got two pizza's. Justin and kevin got this new pizza called cheesy bites which looked pretty impressive. Not sure how much they really liked it though.

After dinner we came back to my place and played some video games, watched some stupid videos and talked. Towards the end of the night though we watched Lord of War, which was an excellent movie. The movie talks about arms sales and was done very well. Can't say much else about the movie, it is funny, and very serious, a must see in my opinion. I wonder how many people continue to read this blog.

Jo leaning against a wall

I took this photo of jo quite a long time ago. That black and white roll came out really well, its a damn shame I can't find the prints or negatives, or the cd.

Quite a shock I know, two posts in two days. Well today was quite a long and tiring day. It started off quite early because I had to get to work by 8:00, that way I could leave at 4. So I woke up at 5:30, got ready, drank some milk, then left around 6:40. I was planning to leave 6:20 or 6:30, but I spent a long time trying to find a bag to put all my crap in. I didn't want to take my school bag but had no choice. The bus ride to work is always a bitch, but today wasn't that bad because it was so early. So I comfortably sat and watched my anime and listened to my music.

Work as always was nothing that exciting. Same basic day, fixed a few computers, installed some software, read stuff online, nothing new yet. Lunch was pretty good today, I had this chicken pesto sandwich thing that tasted really good. It wasn't filling at all mind you, but tasted good nonetheless.

After a long day of work I went to union to find cheryl. It was quite a struggle because she had no idea what union station looked like so she was waiting outside for about 10 minutes while I was walking up and down streets looking for her. Eventually we found each other and made our way to the eaton centre. After some simple window shopping we went to popeyes and got a biscuit. Did a bit more window shopping then got dinner an indian restaurant on queen st called Trimurti.

Dinner was very interesting this time around because the restaurant was more full then usual. This was actually not a good thing because one person had a baby who would not stop crying. That baby was crying throughout our entire meal. It was damn irritating.

After dinner we just headed back to cheryls, talked a little more and called it a day. Hopefully tomorrow will be a fun day worth blogging about also.

A post to end all posts

Well it has probably been well over a month since my last update to this blog. I have lost the will to blog. Nothing of great interest has really happened in my life that is worth sharing. But I thought I will do one last post before pretty much retiring. I will come back to blogging if I ever get around to designing a site, or if I find something worth talking about. This will be quite a long post so sit back and relax.

First I will cover december. My memory is quite vague but december was quite a relaxing month. Even though everyone had exams, I only had to worry about 3 math exams, which were spaced out quite well. People like simon, shawn, nelson, jo and amy were dying. Nelson especially with his 9 exams, 6 of which were bio. Its reasons like that which is why nelson is hero. Anyways it was a great month. Classes were finishing up, we had even more free time then usual. I walked to mcdonalds a fair bit which was a very relaxing walk. In waterloo mcdonalds is like a top quality drug. Its so hard to come by.

I remember the first time I went to mcdonalds to get the breakfast, everyone had given me money so I would bring them back something. That one day we spent like $60 on mcdonald breakfast. For those who are unfamiliar, mcdonald breakfast is usually quite cheap (at least thats what I think). When I brought it back people were shedding tears, it was something they hadn't seen in so long. It was the greatest breakfast we ever had, maybe second to the time shawn made a shit load of bacon for everyone

Mid way through december my exams started coming up so I started to do a bit of studying. First up was computer science. I was quite confident in myself throughout the course. Most of it was a joke. The assignments were fairly simple and didn't require any strenuous thought. I expected the exam to be very similar. I had a very relaxed studying approach and after a short period of studying I just stopped and continued playing an rpg on my psp. I must say out of the 3 exams I had computer science raped me. That exam was a beast. I was reading some of the questions and just said to myself "WTF!". Luckily though for some strange reason, that course had the most broken bell curve ever. I was probably sitting at a low 90 entering the exam, after the exam I got an 88. I was quite happy.

Algebra was next. Algeo was by far the most interesting math course I have taken so far. In highschool calculus was a lot of fun, but Classical Algebra was amazing. It was very simple, not too crazy, but still fun to learn. For this exam I did some intense studying with these 3 people I had met in Nelsons building, Andrew, Ian, and David. Andrew and Ian were identical twins, but you can tell them apart with some ease. Anyways the four of us did a lot of our studying in the math tutorial room. We got quite a lot done in there, I know I did more studying there then I did at my room in the last 4 months. By the time the algebra exam came by I was well prepared and that exam was damn easy. Or so i thought. After the exam I quickly learned I had made a fair amount of careless mistakes. Needless to say those cost me quite a lot. I ended up with 77 in algeo and was a little sad.

Last exam was calculus. Calc was like 3 days after algeo. So the first day was spent relaxing. Second day was spent studying. Third day was spent relaxing. We can all guess the outcome of my calc exam....rape! One question was some integration problem where I think they wanted the area between two curves. but when I graphed the functions the curves didn't even intersect. I was about to write, "The area is 0 because the curves don't intersect" but then I looked at how much the question was worth, 14 MARKS!!!! (like 1/6 the exam maybe). I cried a little after finishing that exam.

After all the exams were over we had our secret santa gift exchange. This was one of the highlights of december. We had picked out who had who a few months ago. A lot of people already knew who had who though. Joanna already knew I had her because adrian struggled. Amy and jo knew who each other had. Everyone knew Simon had amy.

So when we finally did the actual exchange, just to throw off amy and jo, me and simon switched gifts. I handed simons gift to amy, and simon handed my gift to jo. I baited jo out good, I was about to put it in her hands then snatched it away then gave it to amy. Amy had gotten me a sexy picture frame, and a very nice looking cooking book.

After all the gift giving was done Everyone had a few drinks. I had bought jo some Rum, and amy some bacardi breezers. Jo was out after like half a cup of rum. Amy couldn't stop calling her a lightweight. X'mas wasn't anything special. I can't really remember what I got. Cheryl had bought me a bunch of classic mickey mouse things which was awesome. Nothing can beat classic mickey.

Jump forward to new years. New years we celebrated december birthdays. So we went to a sushi buffet. It was okay, nothing special though. Afterwards we came back to my house and talked, played games, played poker, and basically relaxed well into the night. Some people left at 4, people like philip who left there key at home, left at like 9 am the next day. It was awesome. Nothing very interesting happened, just a fun day.

Now we are in january. I started working at a company called Noranda Falconbridge Ltd. Its okay, just really really boring. The work I do is just tedious at times. A brief overview of what I do is take calls, help people with stupid problems like "Where is my folder!?" or "Why won't my computer turn on!". Other then that I install software. But I spend most of my time on msn talking to random people which is wicked. Its very laid back environment. The people I work with are very cool and nice people. Very helpful. Its also nice because there are two other coop students. Its good that I have people to talk to during lunch and stuff.

The next big thing for january were the birthdays. Simon's birthday was a joyous day indeed for many. That weekend he bought a bottle of tequila and everyone was at my place took a shot (excluding me, dano and ryan). It was very funny seeing people drink. People like kevin were like "WTF is going on?!" It was a great day indeed. I wonder if they will do it again.

The next big thing was the birthday dinner at Swiss chalet. We got simon a set of speakers. We got jonathan some guitar stuff. A pedal, guitar stand, and book. Jimmy we got some manga and a cool looking watch. The dinner was better then expected. It wasn't anything too special, but I liked the salad.

Now this post comes to an end. I did enjoy writing this, so perhaps you will see more short blogs in the near future. I am still very conflicted as to continue blogging or not. We will see how things go. All I have to say is...LOST! (I am sorry about all the grammar mistakes)

weekend

So the weekend was quite nice. Friday was just people at Krishna's house, like usual, didn't do much. We mainly talked and played games, others played poker i think. I got to read Spiderman vol 4 and marvel knights vol 1 so that was cool. Saturday was a pretty full day for me, orthodontist, nap, haircut, optometrist and ended with a nice meal with everyone at Swiss Chalet. That was some good shit. The cheesy garlic loaf especially, so cheesyyyyy. Few funny moments, KD putting butter into his soup so it gets more creamy, KD ordering his Chocolate erec... i mean eruption cheesecake, KD getting pwned by the waitress when he started stuttering and the waitress kinda mocked him. For me, KD was the centre of entertainment for me. I even told him to dip his bread in the lemon water that u wash ur hands in. He didnt, but i was close. We headed to Krishnas where some ppl watched dirty sanchez, some played poker, talked, played ps2 etc.

So happy birthday to the Jan babies, Simon, Wilson, Jon and Jimmmmmay.

And as promised, heres the pic, its not the best but itll do for a larf.

weekend

Yeah since Krishna is off working, he prolly doesnt have much time to blog so I'll try to fill stuff in until he gets back in the game.

So this weekend was pretty fun. Came back Friday and went out kinda late. We went to Krishna's where pretty much everyone was there. We were there to celebrate Sime's bday. And now that Simon was legal, he finally got his "first" drink. This was also where alcohol virgins had there "cherries" popped (not my term). It was fun seeing KD finally drink alcohol after seeing him struggle to drink juice we told him was alcohol. People stayed pretty late that day, like 3:30-4 just talking and playing poker. Saturday came along and we went out around 6 this time to first get some dinner at a place a market village and then to Kings for more poker and games. I was Jimmy's lucky charm this time cuz everytime i looked at his card it was a high card or higher. So unlike when i helped KD, Jimmy actually won some money. Now I'm at school and thinking about whatll happen next weekend.
